History

OSIS was founded in 2000 to develop and commercialise online oil spill prevention systems for vessels, offshore structures and Loading Terminals. The organisation employs 15 engineers including the Kiev based software development team. All employees are linked via VPN to the OSIS main office server from where development is coordinated. The company is located in new offices in Aarhus on mainland Denmark. Over the next 12 months the organisation will expand rapidly to handle production ramp-up and international expansion including initial representation in Lisbon, Dubai and London.

The OSIS management team consists of experienced professionals with a significant industrial experience and the necessary competence required to manage the value chain elements defined as core business for OSIS. The team is headed by Peter Moeller-Jensen, who has a relevant track record within Oil & Gas extraction and Aerial Surveillance.

The team is supported by a Steering Committee responsible for environmental design requirements, coordination of governmental support related to test activities and promotion of test results. At present, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency, the Danish Ministry of Defence, Admiral Danish Fleet, the Danish Energy Authorities and the state owned operator DONG are represented in the OSIS Steering Committee.

During 2007, a technical advisory board will be established to ensure compliance between frontline research and the OSIS products.
