Technical Solution

Designed to combat marine pollution

To secure the best possible monitoring, tracking and quantification of oil spills, both a  manual and an automated system are available. They are briefly presented below.

  • The manual system is a real-time system for manual operation giving instant information of an oil spills around an offshore structure or vessel. The manual system is designed for onsite self monitoring and control with the oil spill data presented at location.
  • The automated system tie together all sensors mounted in a geographic area and automatically report to the onshore user if an oil spill is observed. This is designed as a surveillance system where the user can oversee all sensors and their readings from their onshore facilities. The simpler manual system can be upgraded to offer the same functionality as the more advanced automated system by adding the OSIS Master Unit, Communication Module and Central Server.
